Eating Our Way Through the Ace Hotel, Pt. III: The Breslin

Part three of our April Bloomfield obsession takes us to the Breslin. Confusingly, you cannot order the Breslin burger in the Breslin restaurant (the burger is only available through room service and at the hotel bar). Nonetheless, we made do.

I had the Full English breakfast, which featured both sausage and bacon.

Eliza had the grilled three cheese sandwich with house smoked ham.

what type of camera do you use to take your pics? is it a point show? if so, how do you get such great depth of field??

I shoot with a Nikon D80, but the real difference maker is the lens. Most of the close up food photos are shot with the Nikon 60mm macro lens. But in general, to get a shallow depth of field, you want a “fast” lens. One that can open up wide with a low f-stop.
