2,366 miles later, we were back in Austin.
A few months back, when Eliza told me that she wanted to drive to her ten-year high school reunion in Statesboro, GA, I thought she was kidding. Sadly, she wasn’t. And after four and a half days of driving, one and a half days of Statesboro-ing, two nights in New Orleans and a lot of road food, I can definitively say that air travel is a wonderful and underappreciated marvel.
Still, despite the leg atrophy and general exhaustion involved, we did manage to spend some quality time with family and friends and eat some excellent food.
The whole experience inspired us to create this blog, which presumably will lead to instant fame, steady income and probably a reality series.
